Academy Membership

The Club has recently reintroduced its Academy membership and currently has vacancies

Our Academy membership is designed to take beginner or returning golfers through the key competencies of golf and develop them to the point where they would transition to full membership of the club in the future. Academy members do not require an introduction from an existing club member and is open to both male and female players. 

The Academy membership currently costs £249 for a full years access to the Academy course as well as the following:

• 5 individual golf lessons
• 4 x 1hr group clinics
• 10 free range tokens (members rate for subsequent tokens)
• Unlimited golf on the first 6  holes on our West course (off-peak)
• Annual academy programme
• Access to West putting green and the chipping area
• Discount card for the West clubhouse use

If a complete beginner, then we would recommend starting a course of lessons with Head Professional, Tim Cowley. He will be able to provide coaching and guidance on the driving range and practice facilities whilst teaching the basics of the game. However once a little more advanced, then the Academy membership is certainly an option to be explored.

Joining Process

The joining process for the Academy membership is fairly straightforward, applicants can join straight away and there is no entrance fee to be paid. 

In order to proceed, applicants should complete the Academy membership form below and return this to Marcus ( marcusfox@royalashdown.co.uk) in the club office. At this stage, we will require payment of the £249 membership fee before the membership can commence.
