Message from the Captain - Dress Code

I am concerned that there has been a slow but noticeable decline in the standard of dress around our clubhouse. Examples are no socks, shirts not tucked in, mud spattered trousers in the dining room, flip flops etc. 

It is neither necessary nor desirable to articulate a dress code as, with very few exceptions, all members are comfortable with the standards that have been established over time. Ashdown members know what is expected without being told.

On occasions some of our visitors need a little guidance on this issue and I have asked Matt to help with this. However, it is for all of us to watch over and maintain standards with a gentle reminder, where necessary, to a fellow member who is having 'a bad dress day'.
