Royal Ashdown Old Course

Horace Hutchinson Fund

The Horace Hutchinson Fund gives members the chance to ensure our club evolves, flourishes and retains its special character by making gifts, donations or bequests should they wish.

Our Club is one of the oldest and most distinctive in the UK. We have a rich history and the likes of Abe Mitchell, Alf Padgham, AA Milne, Bernard Darwin, HRH Duke of Windsor, Harold Macmilllan and Bobby Locke have all graced our fairways.

In previous generations, our members showed foresight in creating the Club that we know today. Indeed, many of the trophies we play for and the numerous elements that make our courses and clubhouse such enjoyable places to be, are due to the generosity of individual members.

Any donations or bequests to the Fund will be used to support projects that cannot be funded from regular income and will really enhance the distinctive qualities and attributes that Royal Ashdown offers.

The Fund will be administered and managed by the Club’s Horace Hutchinson Fund Trustees alongside one of the Club’s (Executive) Trustees. A separate bank account will be maintained so that all donations will be kept entirely separate from the Club’s general resources. The Fund is not a legally distinct entity or a registered charity.

If you would like to make a donation or regular contribution, please speak to the Captain, a Trustee or the General Manager. Bequests can be made via a codicil.
